The Second Floor Challenge #4...my take!

I just love this challenge collaborated by Julie Balzer & Nathalie Kalbach...I was able to work on it in between my major studio transformation {which I will share real soon!}. I was working on a project for a class I'm taking with Catherine Matthews Scanlon...Art 2 Journal when I realized I could join the 2 projects together. Here is the progression of my Second Floor Challenge combined with The Art of Subtraction project.

The Second Floor Challenge #4: Circles

Today is Challenge #4 reveal from The Second Floor Challenge with Nathalie Kalbach & Julie Fei-Fan Balzer

I haven't been able to start #3 and now #4...CIRCLES. YIPPEE! I love circles and can't wait to do this but everything will be on hold for a while as:

1. I'm getting to retire in 17 days and I have way to much do to fish out this school year {I really don't want to think about it}

2. I'm in the middle of a total studio transformation which is 3/4's done and I will be sharing this!

3. As soon as I retire I have to travel 800 miles to take care of a house sale that has been a long time in the works!

4. 6 blog posts to create and get ready for Tattered Angels and HELMAR.
All of this before the middle of June ;)

How much do I love circles???

Have you joined in on this challenge???

My Art Studio Transformation

Today is the start of my studio transformation...these are the before pictures.

This is what is looks like right now!

So I have 4 days to complete this transformation...I'm already nervous because I know what is going to be involved and I'm pretty much out of commission! That is very difficult for someone that doesn't like change...but just wait!

Check back later this week to see the altered state of my art studio:)

Tattered Angels & 7Gypsies Library Drawer

Have you ever started a project that you REALLY wanted to finish but somehow your time was hijacked by other obligations. Well...this is one of those projects and it is going to be finished. Since I'm declaring that to be so I will post my progress ...this will get me going if I know that I am accountable :)
I started this 7Gypsies Library Drawer last year after seeing a blog post from Tammy Tutterow back in 2011. It is based on THE HAPPINESS PROJECT by Gretchen Ruben...highly recommend reading her book! I knew I had to create a similar idea and I did but didn't finish it. My resolve this year is to do exactly that and share with you my progress.

I created 3 mini layouts to show how NATURE makes me happy. Many shades of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Glam were used to create each LO. This is the divider created for this section.

                                                          GARDEN FLOWERS
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist ~ Blue Skies & Key Lime
THE BEACH @ Outer Banks, NC
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam ~ Ocean Spray                                                             Canvas Corp Burlap Tag
Pink Paislee Wood Embellishment ~ Nantucket Collection

Thanks for stopping by...please come back and hold me accountable...I really want to finish this project...it is so pretty and I want to fill it with all the things I love!
