WINDING DOWN

I don't like Sun. evenings. It signals the weekend is over and I have to get into work mode. I corrected tests today for my Food I students...didn't know if I should laugh or cry. The NC State Benchmark test is Thurs. but I'm the only one worried about it. I have a new curriculum and I have worked my fanny off...I will pass but not sure if my students will. YUK! This also means that I only have a short time everyday when I can sit down and CREATE {ahh...love that word}. Well no more boo-hooing from my end. I'm going to add some pictures that make me happy...I hope that do for you also.

I have a problem...finally I have convinced Phil to let me switch my "CREATE CAVE" {the smallest of the 4 bedrooms} to the larger quest bedroom. It makes a lot sense but now...OMG how will I move all my "STUFF" {purge...purge..purge.} Here's my proposal...if anyone wants to come to North Carolina and help me do this I will come to your house and help you! Yes...No...And to throw in some added persuasion I will take you to the OUTER BANKS or we can travel up to VIRGINIA BEACH {both within an hour from here}...and if that isn't enough Phil will cook his most famous RIBS. RSVP if interested....hehehehe

I need more time in my day...I have so much to accomplish on the weekends when I really want to PLAY!!! I want to re-design my blog...maybe this weekend. Off to do some chores Like CLEAN my "CREATE CAVE", it's a disaster. I've gone from a 3' x 6' work space to a 12"x12" space...when that happens it's time to put stuff away and clean-up! This what it should look like:

BLINKIES

LOOK what I did...I added a blinkie to my blog. WooHoo! I want more BLINKIES...I think I might like blogging because it's a little bit like shopping...the hunt for the perfect_______________{fill in the blank}. What I find difficult is my lack of time. I sometimes get very irritated because work interfers with my life and right now I want to go find BLINKIES...but I don't have time.

Actually I don't have time because I'm off to watch Heidi Swapp's webshow...this week is going be good...all Tattered Angels goodness!

Colour! Or Is It Color?

I'm taking my 2nd online class from Nic Howard, a New Zealand scrapper, over at Big Picture Classes. Nic is an incredible teacher, having taken Dimensional Directions from her last spring I now am an ardent fan of her. She has an excellent teaching style and makes different techniques so easy to understand. I'm going to share the Pre-Class assignment with you. Our challenge was to create 6 tags showing the basic R-O-Y-G-B-V color theory. 


I love working with color...it reminds me of the years that I taught color theory to my HS students in Clothing & Textiles and Housing & Environment. It also reminds me of the early morning trips to my daughter Cait's day care center...it usually would be at the crack of dawn and as I drove we talked about the colors that appeared in the morning sky. Those were great days and today she has an eye for color and uses it in her profession. Here are my 6 tags...what do you think?

TGIF...TGIF...TGIF

What a week...I complain alot about work but if I didn't work I couldn't pay for OBSESSION. Work so interferes with my life I want to lead!! I know...I am extremely grateful that I have this job, sometimes my attitude just STINKS!!! But looking forward to 3:20 when the dismissal bell goes off and my students leave my room.

I'm so excited...I just signed up for Nic Howard's Colour! or Is It Color? class over at BPS. I completed Nic's Dimensional Directions class at BPS and have been waiting anxiously for another one. As a teacher myself I can honestly say it was one of the BEST classes. Taking an online class can be difficult sometimes but her directions were some of the best written, easy to understand & follow. Tropical Storm Nicole...

FINALLY...went away. She was something, rained for the past 3 days...up to 14" of rain. Yesterday was a nightmare at school...a 2hr. delay followed by a tornado warning as the students were arriving in a torrential downpour...in the hallway for a brief but torturous moment. Class for 1 hour into 1st lunch...POWER GOES OUT! We shouldn't have been at school anyway...what a disaster. After HS students sitting in the dark for 2 hrs. the powers to be finally decide to send them home...in a torrential rainstorm. Today was different...no school...many streets were under water so I guess they figured it was time to call school...of course it means that we make it up on a Sat.

I'm hoping this weekend allows me to finish the self-paced blogger course I'm taking {www.jessicasprague.com} I'm really ready to try some HO3 Blog Couture..ohh can't wait. Until then I'm going to practice posting some more pictures. I love this small tag book I made...fooling around with Tattered Angels glimmer mist and assorted stamps. Love the colors...note to self {write down the colors so you can remember!}. Enjoy your WEEKEND!
